October 1965; Mr Michael Healy, Ardfert, presents Fr. Mattie Murphy C.S.Sp., with a bell that was once used in the Crosbie farmyard in Ardfert. Father Murphy took the bell to his mission and school on an island in the Niger Delta, West Africa. Also in the picture is Brendan Healy, the Donor's son and Mr Michael Healy, metalwork instructor, at Tralee Technical School, who put a new tongue in the Bell and polished it.
