3rd July 1964; A photo taken at the scene of a car crash on the Tralee-Blennerville Road. Four people were taken to St Catherine's Hospital, Tralee. Two men, Mr Finbarr Murphy, Cork, and Mr Dermot Ashe, Dublin, were later discharged. Mr Murphy and Mr Ashe were travelling towards Tralee in one car at the time of the colision. In the other car, travelling towards Dingle, were 24 year old Garda Denis Moore, a native of Goulane, Castlegregory, and stationed in Athea, Co. Limerick, and Miss Josephine Enright of Athea. Garda Moore was detained at St Catherine's Hospital where he was stated to be in a critical condition. Miss Enright was also detained and her condition was described as fair. Both cars were extensively damaged.
