28th July 1962; A photo of Martin Kennedy in his hospital bed and his brother Colm Kennedy who survived a boating accident after 11 people were thrown into the sea when a rowing boat, The Ard Fionnbar, capsized. Martin survived after his brother Colm kept him afloat when he refused assistance from a rescue boat telling the rescuers to save Teresa Hannigan, one of the other casualties.
