6th September; 'Listowel Factory' which was owned by Paddy Behan from Listowel and ridden by 13 year old Gerard McCarthy from Finuge who won the Donkey Derby Final which took place at the Town Park in Tralee. The Rose of Tralee Ciara O'Sullivan presented the Lyons Cup trophy to the winner.
