. 2nd August. A Group of Kerry Football Fans

2nd August 1959; Many hands make light work after a group of Kerry fans suffered a puncture on their way to the Munster Senior Football Final. John O'Donnell, Boherbee, Tralee (on left) and his son Roddy (second from Right) were just outside Farranfore when the wheel punctured. Three cars of Kerry fans pulled up to help change the wheel, which was quickly replaced by the spare wheel and the flat tyre was put on the roof. The helpful Kerry fans were rewarded with tubs of ice-cream. The Kingdom defeated Cork 2-15 to 2-8 in the final and went on to win the All-Ireland title in Croke Park beating Galway 3-7 to 1-4.
