10th May-19th June 1969; Press and photographers twait outside Heron Cove to try to get a glimpse of Charles Andre Joseph Marie De Gaulle, French General and Statesman, who rescued his country from the chaos and ruin it had fallen into during World War II. The General was staying at Heron Cove while in Kerry for a quiet holiday.
