Mayor Carl Wicke Shaves his Beard

29th September 1967; Decorations Committee member Jerome murphy clips the first strands off the beard of Mayor Carl Wicke with a scissors during the Harvest Festival. Mayor Wicke of Listowel, Ontario, the twin town of Listowel, Co. Kerry, grew the beard as part of the Canadian Centennial Celebrations in July 1966.
