Ardfert Parish Schools Strike
15th January 1968; Mr Jerry Allman, President of the INTO, speaks at an INTO meeting in Ardfert to discuss the closure of the Parish schools. The schools were temporarily closed due to inadequate heating and unsanitary conditions. The five schools were: Ardfert, Banna, Barrow, Kilmoyley and Tubrid.
