The Opening of Derrynane Abbey

Sunday 20th August 1967; President de Valera inspects a guard of honour before he officially opened Derrynane Abbey, once the home of 'The Liberator', Daniel O'Connell. Mass was celebrated by Daniel O'Connell's great great grandson Rev. John M. O'Connell of London, in the Chapel that Daniel O'Connell built onto the 18th Century House.
