

A New National School at Nohoval Ballymacelligott
16th May 1965; Parents, Teachers and pupils at the opening of Nohoval National School, Ballymacelligott. The school cost 10,000 Pounds to build, and was the third school erected by the Very Rev. Michael O'Donoghue, Parish Priest of Ballymacelligott, in his 24 years in the parish. The opening blessing ceremony and mass was celebrated by Fr O'Donoghue and Rev. Daniel Murphy, CC. Eight children received their first Holy Communion on the day.
