

Eating Sleabhcan (Seaweed)
February 1965; Men in Ballyheigue eating Sleabhcan, a seaweed that grows on the rocks beneath the cliffs and is only available in February and March. Sleabhcan is eaten cooked or raw and is said to be a cure for colds and high blood pressure.
