The All-Ireland Open Boat Angling Championship

28th May 1967; A record catch at Fenit during the All-Ireland Open Boat Angling Championship. A total of fifty two Irish, British and German Anglers competed for the Findlater Cup. Mr. Lon Fila of Yorkshire had the heaviest individual catch with 18 fish weighing a total of 774 lbs. Mr. James Browne of Fenit had the heaviest fish of the day, a 60 lb. monkfish.
