Ras Tailteann
June 1969; Participants in the Ras Tailteann cross the finish line in Castle Street on the fifth stage. J Lonergan from Tipperary took the fifth stage in an impressive time of 4:55:10. The overall race was won by Brian Connaughton from Meath.
