O'Reilly's Golf Links in Waterville

September 1967; Mr Billy Huggard, proprietor of the Butlers Arms Hotel, Waterville, who took a 25 year lease on the links. The links lay idle during the summer because the old leasees failed to agree on the terms of an agreement drawn up by the link's owner, Mr Maurice O'Reilly. Mr O'Reilly confirmed that Mr Huggard agreed to take the property for an annual rent of £600. Mr Huggard planned to open the course for play in 1968, and in future years to lay out a further nine holes.
