Salmon Catch on the River Laune

20th June 1971; One of the biggest Salmon catches on the River Laune was caught by Mrs Audrey Mayo of Devon, who landed a 25lb salmon at McGill's pool on the river Laune. She used a gold and brown devon to hook the fish. Her ghillie was Michael Lyne of Genbeigh.
