American Film Star Jane Mansfield in Tralee

23rd April 1967; A press conference in the Mount Brandon Hotel after the hotel's management cancelled the scheduled appearance of American film star Jane Mansfield. The announcement came after letters from the Bishop of Kerry Most Rev. Dr Moynihan and the Dean of Kerry Right Rev. Mons. John Lane were read out at masses throughout the Diocese asking people not to attend the performance. Miss Manfsield left the following day protesting that she had not intended to put on a disrespectful show. Billy Clifford is seated to the right of Miss Mansfield.
