The Opening of Castleisland Pitch and Putt Club
8th May 1966; Kerry's first Pitch and Putt Club was opened in Castleisland by William Somers, President of the Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland.The Club, called The Castleisland Pitch and Putt and Sports Club, included an 18 hole course, the longest in Munster, two tennis courts and a licensed club house.
