An Object Found in Derrynane

5th February 1966; An unidentified object, resembling a torpedo, measuring 3'4" in length and 3' in diameter, was washed ashore in Derrynane. The object was seen and reported to the Gardaí by Mr Batt Galvin. Explosives experts removed the object for examination. Mr O'Malley of the Coastguard is on the left of the photo.
