

Dingle Fisherman Tomas Sheehy and his Family
13th May 1966; A photo of Tomas Sheehy with his wife and four sons Tomas, Brendan, James and Michael in Dingle. On May 1st, Mr Sheehy was ordered to hand over his his 56 foot boat 'Coolan'. He received notice that the boat was being taken because he was falling behind on his hire purchase payments with Bod Iascaigh Mhara. There were four other Skippers in danger of losing their boats for the same reason. Dingle fishermen protested to BIM.
