Transatlantic Sailors Vint Lloyd and Louis Lourmais

23rd August 1967; Captain Louis Lourmais (second from left), a 46 year old oceanographer who was born in Boston, and 26 year old Canadian Vint Lloyd (right) in front of the Mount Brandon Hotel in Tralee before they left Fenit in their boat the St Brendan II to follow St Brendan the Navigator's route across the Atlantic to Nova Scotia.
