Eviction at Heron Cove

16th July 1969; Richard Stanford, the Englishman who was the proprieter of Heron Cove at Parknasilla, Sneem where Charles De Gaulle spent two weeks while on holiday in Kerry, moving all his furniture and belongings out of the hotel. Mr Stanford was being evicted on foot of a Court order for possession of the house and gardens obtained at the Circuit Court in Killarney in June by the owner Mr Otto Tilscher of Frankfurt, Germany.
