Hijacked Plane At Shannon Airport

November 1969; A man speaks with awaiting reporters at Shannon airport. A ninteen-year-old AWOL marine hijacked a TWA flight from Los Angeles and forced the pilot to fly the plane to Europe. The plane made a non-scheduled stop in Shannon to refuel. The marine who was born in Italy wanted to return home and was eventually captured at the airport in Rome.
