The Launch of "The Saint Brendan II

17th March 1969; Bill Verity at the launch of the "The Saint Brendan II", the replica of Saint Brendan's boat that Bill built himself in Fenit and sailed to Florida to prove his theory that it was possible for Saint Brendan to discover America 1000 years before Columbus. The boat was officially launched by Ms Lallah Little from Dublin, who's husband wrote a book on Brendan the Navigator.
