

Tralee Lions Club Presentation
August 1967; Right Rev. Monsignor John Lane P.P. V.G. Dean of Kerry, accepts a cheque for £500 from Mr. Noel O'Connor, President of Tralee Lions Club on behalf of his Lordship, the Bishop of Kerry who is President of the Kerry Branch of the National Council for the Blind of Ireland. The money is the proceeds of the charity football match between the 1955 veteran Kerry team and Jimmy Magee All Stars. Also in the photo are Mrs. Marion Vesey, Kenmare, Chairman of the Kerry Branch of the National Council for the Blind (left), Miss Mary Joe McDonnell, Tralee Secretary and Mr. Michael Relihan, Listowel, Treasurer.
