The opening of Derrynane Abbey

Sunday 20th August 1967; Derrynane Abbey, once the home of 'The Liberator', Daniel O'Connell, was opened by President Eamonn de Valera. Mass was celebrated by Daniel O'Connell's great great grandson Rev. John M. O'Connell of London, in the Chapel that Daniel O'Connell built onto the 18th Century House.
