Grab Cranes in Fenit

November 1965; A grab crane rented from a firm in Cork as an experiment, unloads coal from the 510 tonne German registered Stepenitz from Gdansk. With one of the steam cranes operating in a separate hold, the vessel was discharged in two thirds of the time and half the labour force that the job would normally take.
