The Opening of Lyre National School

26th October 1964; A photo taken at the opening of Lyre National School, Milltown. The new school was built to accomodate 120 pupils and 3 teachers and replaced the old school that was built in 1911. The blessing ceremony was performed by the very Rev. Fr. T. O'Sullivan, P.P. Duagh.
